Superdumbo opens its first Molina de Segura supermarket as Murcia expansion continues
The 1,836m² sales floor forms part of the company’s continued expansion across the Region of Murcia and Alicante

Superdumbo has continued its expansion across the Region of Murcia with the opening of its first supermarket in Molina de Segura, creating 36 new jobs in the process.
The new store, located on Calle Serrerías, welcomed its first customers on August 20 and is designed to offer shoppers a full range of fresh and everyday food products under one roof.
Covering almost 2,300m², the supermarket has a sales area of 1,836m², with several fresh food departments offering assisted service. Customers can find a butcher, delicatessen, bakery and fruit and vegetable section alongside the rest of the supermarket’s range.
There’s also plenty of space for shoppers arriving by car, with a 2,254m² car park providing 78 parking spaces.
The official opening ceremony was attended by Molina de Segura mayor José Ángel Alfonso, councillor for Economic Promotion Fran Hernández Gómez, councillor for Commerce Pilar Galindo and Superdumbo manager Antonio Navarro.
Speaking at the opening, the mayor highlighted the wider economic impact of the new supermarket, particularly the jobs created for people living in the area.
“The opening of this supermarket not only improves the commercial offerings of Molina de Segura, but also reflects Superdumbo's strong commitment to job creation and the economic development of the Region of Murcia,” José Ángel Alfonso said.
“The opening of this new store has generated direct employment for 36 workers, most of whom are local residents, thus strengthening the company's ties to the area's social and economic fabric.”
The Molina de Segura supermarket forms part of a wider expansion by Superdumbo, which began in 2008 and has seen the company steadily increase its presence across southeastern Spain.
The latest opening brings the chain’s total to 32 stores across the Region of Murcia and the province of Alicante, giving it an increasingly strong presence in the local supermarket market.
Superdumbo is entirely Murcian-owned and operates through Nagarmur, a company belonging to the family behind Cash Europa, which is described as the leading wholesale food distribution business in the Region of Murcia.
