ARCHIVED - Sunshine and pleasant temperatures for the last week of 2022: Alicante weather forecast Dec 26-29
The Costa Blanca is the place to be to enjoy a warm and temperate New Year
The weather in most of the north of Spain will be chilly and even rainy with thunderstorms this week in the lead up to New Year’s Eve. But the south, and the Mediterranean coast of Alicante, can expect just the opposite – bright sunshine, pleasant temperatures in excess of 20ºC and a gentle breeze.
Monday December 26 will dawn foggy and misty with scattered high cloud, but for the most part will be sunny with a sea breeze not stronger than 10-15kmh.
- Alcoy: 12ºC to 20ºC
- Alicante: 12ºC to 19ºC
- Denia: 11ºC to 19ºC
- Elche: 9ºC to 22ºC
- Orihuela: 9ºC to 22ºC
Tuesday December 27 will be sunnier and not so foggy, though there will be the addition of some dark, heavy clouds moving across the coastal sky during the early part of the day.
- Alcoy: 12ºC to 19ºC
- Alicante: 12ºC to 19ºC
- Denia: 11ºC to 17ºC
- Elche: 9ºC to 20ºC
- Orihuela: 9ºC to 21ºC
Wednesday December 28 will bring more solid sunshine, although there will be a slight drop in temperature. Even so, it will remain around 20ºC at the warmest part of the day, around 3pm, and not fall below 6ºC at night-time.
- Alcoy: 7ºC to 19ºC
- Alicante: 10ºC to 20ºC
- Denia: 10ºC to 20ºC
- Elche: 6ºC to 21ºC
- Orihuela: 6ºC to 20ºC
Moving into Thursday December 29, it will be much the same story, but by the end of the day there will be some light cloud cover moving in from the north of the province, which will settle in to make Friday 30 a slightly cloudier day than the rest of the week.
- Alcoy: 9ºC to 18ºC
- Alicante: 10ºC to 22ºC
- Denia: 9ºC to 21ºC
- Elche: 9ºC to 22ºC
- Orihuela: 7ºC to 21ºC
