Summer waste collection times at Condado de Alhama
A revised schedule aims to keep the resort clean and in good condition during the busy season
Residents and property owners at Condado de Alhama are advised of the new summer waste collection schedule in place for July and August. The community administration asks for cooperation to ensure bags are only deposited in accordance with the collection days, in order to help maintain the resort’s cleanliness and presentation during the hotter months.
Collection timetable for July and August is:
General (Resto-Organic) waste: Monday to Saturday, from 6am to 10am
Light packaging (plastic, cans, cartons): Usually Wednesdays, from 6am to 1.30pm
Cardboard: Usually Wednesdays, from 6am to 1.30pm
Glass: Collected once per month, on a day scheduled when the container reaches 75–80% capacity
Bulky items: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, usually from 6am to 1.30pm
If a bin is already full, residents are asked to use the next nearest container to avoid overflowing waste and to help keep the resort hygienic and visually appealing. A map showing all collection stations and what type of waste should be deposited at each is available via the community office.
Clarification on general waste (resto-organic)
The general waste container is intended for all non-recyclable household waste, including:
- Sanitary items: nappies, pads, tampons, cotton buds, wipes, floss, bandages and gauze
- Personal items: razors, toothbrushes, files, condoms
- Small cleaning waste: vacuum bags, sweeping dust
- Household ceramics: plates, cups, other broken crockery
- Ash and cigarette remains: as long as they have totally cooled – NO HOT ASH!
- Miscellaneous: photos, expired credit cards, and other non-recyclable items
This category, sometimes incorrectly referred to as “organic”, includes all residual waste not covered by separate recycling categories.
Ecoparque de Alhama
For items that do not belong in any standard waste container, including electronics, hazardous materials, and other special categories, residents can take them directly to the Ecoparque de Alhama, located in the Alhama Industrial Park, Services Sector, plot 1.

Bulky item removal service
The collection of furniture and bulky objects is managed by the Alhama City Council. If you have private numbered parking linked to your home, removal can be arranged via:

If your home is in Naranjos 1–8, you must move items to one of the five designated collection points:
- BKI IN 01 – N1, C6 Underground Bins Station
- BKI IN 02 – In front of dwelling VJ265-25
- BKI IN 03 – Rear of dwelling N365
- BKI IN 04 – Rear of dwelling N137
- BKI IN 05 – Rear of dwelling N019
It is important that only large items are deposited at these points. Please do not leave general rubbish, cardboard or containers here, as recycling bins for these materials are provided elsewhere in clearly marked yellow stations.
