Storms on the way but plenty of sun too: Alicante weekly weather forecast August 10-13
A mostly warm and sunny week ahead, with storm warnings on Monday and quieter conditions settling in from Tuesday
The weekend stayed largely sunny across the Alicante Province, though Saturday brought the threat of afternoon storms inland. This week opens with those storm risks returning, and on Monday they're more widespread. After that, things calm down considerably, and the rest of the week looks warm, settled and very much like August on the Costa Blanca.Monday August 10
Alicante weather forecast, Monday August 10The most unsettled day of the week. Cloud builds through the afternoon bringing showers and thunderstorms across much of the province, with storm warnings in force. Around Alcoy and Dénia in the north, storms could be locally heavy with hail and very strong gusts, though southern areas are less likely to be affected. Temperatures dip slightly from recent days, and winds are light and variable in the morning, turning easterly through the middle of the day.
Tuesday August 11
Alicante temepratures, Tuesday August 11A much calmer picture. Partly cloudy skies with some low cloud lingering in the morning before things settle down. No significant storm activity expected. Temperatures hold steady, and Alicante city and Elche both stay warm and dry. Winds stay light, variable in the early morning and turning easterly through the day.
Wednesday August 12
Alicante temepratures, Wednesday August 12Low cloud along the coast and pre-coastal areas through the morning, clearing to leave partly cloudy skies. Cloud builds a little inland from midday, but nothing dramatic. Benidorm and the stretch of Costa Blanca coastline should see a pleasant day, warm and largely sunny. Temperatures with only slight changes, and winds again light and easterly during the middle of the day.
Thursday August 13
Alicante temepratures, Thursday August 13Much the same as Wednesday, with low cloud along the coast burning off through the morning and cloud developing a little inland during the afternoon. Temperatures shift only slightly. Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa can expect another warm, largely dry day with light easterly breezes through the afternoon, typical of the settled late-summer pattern that tends to settle in mid-August.
Monday aside, this shapes up to be a fairly classic August week for the province: plenty of sunshine, very warm temperatures and light coastal breezes. Just keep the umbrella handy for Monday.
