Spain weather forecast October 12-15: Autumn takes a back seat as temperatures rise this week
High pressure is bringing a calmer spell with highs approaching 30°C in parts of Andalucia

Weather outlook on Monday afternoon, October 12
After a spell of unsettled weather over the last few days, much of Spain can look forward to a warmer and sunnier start to the week. Temperatures are set to climb in many areas, with the south enjoying some particularly warm afternoons, although showers could still affect the islands and parts of the north.
AEMET's outlook for the week points to generally stable conditions, above-average temperatures and limited rainfall across much of the country.
Monday October 12

The National Day holiday should bring largely settled weather across mainland Spain, with sunshine and broken cloud in many areas. The Balearic Islands are more likely to see showers, potentially heavy in Mallorca and Menorca, while parts of northern Galicia and the Cantabrian coast could start cloudier.
Temperatures will reach around 26°C in Madrid, 29°C in Seville and 25°C in Bilbao. The Canary Islands will remain warm, although some showers are possible.
Tuesday October 13

Warm weather will continue across much of the mainland, with temperatures rising to around 28°C in Madrid and potentially 29°C in Seville. Sunshine should dominate in central and southern areas, while the north may see more cloud.
The Canary Islands could see showers and breezier conditions, so the weather will be less settled there.
Wednesday October 14

Wednesday looks particularly warm for the time of year in parts of the north and south. Bilbao could reach around 29°C, while Madrid should remain near 27°C. Much of the mainland is expected to stay dry, with plenty of sunshine.
Some showers remain possible in the Canary Islands, particularly earlier in the day.
Thursday October 15

The largely settled pattern should continue, with warm afternoons and sunshine across much of mainland Spain. Madrid could reach 26°C, while Seville may climb towards 30°C or more.
Cloud could increase in parts of the north, but the wider outlook remains dry and warmer than usual for mid-October.
With temperatures recovering and rain becoming less widespread, it looks set to be a much calmer week for much of Spain than the one just gone.
