Scattered showers give way to sun and heat: Alicante weather forecast May 6-9
The mercury will rise well into the high 20s throughout Alicante province this week

Minimum and maximum temperatures on Monday May 6
The beginning of May has brought a pretty mixed bag in Alicante, with seemingly every type of weather occurring over the last few days. But this past weekend was an absolute scorcher, and several towns in Valencia were the hottest in all of Europe, registering temperatures in excess of 33ºC.
While the thermometers are unlikely to reach these lofty heights this week, the coming days will still be unseasonably warm, although the pleasant weather will be punctuated with the occasional shower or storm.
Monday May 6

Monday will be fairly cloudy with a good chance of some light rain in the afternoon, while a moderate westerly wind blows towards the coast.
Daytime temperatures will drop a little, but the thermometers won’t stray far below the high 20s.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Monday
Alcoy: 13ºC to 26ºC
Alicante: 18ºC to 28ºC
Denia: 15ºC to 26ºC
Elche: 17ºC to 30ºC
Orihuela: 17ºC to 30ºC
Tuesday May 7

After an overcast start the skies should clear up nicely, although it will continue to be very cloudy inland throughout the afternoon. A light wind in most of the province will feel much breezier in coastal towns.
Daytime and night-time temperatures will take a temporary dip, dropping by several degrees.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Tuesday
Alcoy: 11ºC to 23ºC
Alicante: 15ºC to 23ºC
Denia: 14ºC to 22ºC
Elche: 14ºC to 23ºC
Orihuela: 14ºC to 24ºC
Wednesday May 8

Wednesday will once again be mostly bright and sunny, although there won’t be many changes temperature-wise.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Wednesday
Alcoy: 10ºC to 23ºC
Alicante: 13ºC to 22ºC
Denia: 14ºC to 24ºC
Elche: 12ºC to 23ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 24ºC
Thursday May 9

Daytime temperatures will begin to increase once again in anticipation of another pleasantly warm weekend. The skies will be largely clear and a southerly wind that will be mostly light could strengthen in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 11ºC to 23ºC
Alicante: 14ºC to 25ºC
Denia: 12ºC to 26ºC
Elche: 11ºC to 26ºC
Orihuela: 12ºC to 27ºC
