Rains arrive ahead of a dry weekend: Alicante weather forecast Jan 4-7
Scattered showers will douse the province of Alicante before the good weather returns on Saturday

Alicante weather outlook Friday January 5
Alicante has been one of the warmest provinces in Spain since we welcomed the New Year and although the temperatures are set to fall in the coming days, it will remain pleasantly mild. Widespread showers are forecast from Thursday and these could persist until Friday morning, but the skies are set to dry up in the evening in time for the Three Kings’ parades.
Thursday January 4

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts cloudy intervals with scattered rainfall in the province of Alicante for this Thursday, weak in the morning and somewhat more intense from the last few hours. Morning mists and fog banks in inland depressions are not ruled out.
The minimum temperatures will undergo few changes, but the day will be noticeably cooler in most parts.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 10ºC to 17ºC
Alicante: 11ºC to 19ºC
Denia: 9ºC to 19ºC
Elche: 10ºC to 20ºC
Orihuela: 8ºC to 19ºC
Friday January 5

The cloudy intervals will continue with the probability of scattered showers during the early hours but this will subside in the afternoon.
The snow level will drop from 1600-1800 meters altitude to 1000-1200 metres, alongside decreasing temperatures.
A westerly wind will develop strong gusts in the afternoon, which might make some of the parades a rather breezy affair.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday
Alcoy: 5ºC to 13ºC
Alicante: 9ºC to 19ºC
Denia: 7ºC to 19ºC
Elche: 9ºC to 18ºC
Orihuela: 9ºC to 16ºC
Saturday January 6

Few temperature changes are expected on Saturday but the skies will be much clearer with cloudy intervals in northern Alicante in the morning.
Moderate west and northwest winds could develop strong gusts in much of the province.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Saturday
Alcoy: 4ºC to 12ºC
Alicante: 9ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 8ºC to 16ºC
Orihuela: 7ºC to 15ºC
Sunday January 7

Sunday will be rather overcast early on and mists and fog banks are likely in mountainous areas. The temperatures will fall slightly, bringing weak frosts inland.
The westerly wind will persist with intervals of strong gusts across the board.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Sunday
Alcoy: 2ºC to 12ºC
Alicante: 7ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 7ºC to 17ºC
Elche: 6ºC to 16ºC
Orihuela: 6ºC to 15ºC
