Rain gives way to plenty of sunshine: Alicante weather forecast Aug 19-25
The experts predict dry, warm weather in Alicante province for the final stretch of August
Minimum and maximum temperatures expected in Alicante this Thursday
Alicante has seen the last of the heavy rain, at least for the time being, after storms battered most of the province last week. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has just released its long-term forecast and at the moment, the final stretch of August, and indeed the beginning of September, is expected to be hot, dry and sunny.
While there are no new heatwaves on the horizon, the temperatures should continue to rise throughout the Valencian Community over the next couple of weeks, reaching values slightly higher than normal for this time of year.
In Alicante province, the mercury should be around 1ºC higher than average this coming week, and any rain that does patter down will be isolated and very light.
After a slightly cloudy start, Monday August 19 will be mostly clear and sunny. Both day and nighttime temperatures will remain largely unchanged for the moment.
Most of Alicante can expect a pleasant day on Tuesday August 20 but increased cloudiness inland could lead to the odd shower. Still no significant changes temperature-wise, although it will be quite breezy in most places.
The outlook for Wednesday August 21 is much the same, although the temperatures will actually take a momentary dip, if only by a degree or so. A warm southerly breeze will feel a lot more blustery along the coast.
It will be rather overcast inland on Thursday August 22, and there’s a chance that the spotty showers could spread to the south, although they’ll most likely remain inland. Daytime temperatures will now start to creep up in most parts, shooting to highs of 36ºC in Orihuela.
Friday August 23 could be a little more cloudy, although the weather will still be very pleasant overall. This stability will continue through Saturday August 24 and Sunday August 25, with the temperatures hovering around the low to mid-30s for the most part.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante province this week
- Monday August 19: Min 18ºC; Max 35ºC
- Tuesday August 20: Min 19ºC; Max 34ºC
- Wednesday August 21: Min 20ºC; Max 32ºC
- Thursday August 22: Min 19ºC; Max 36ºC
- Friday August 23: Min 21ºC; Max 34ºC
- Saturday August 24: Min 20ºC; Max 33ºC
- Sunday August 25: Min 19ºC; Max 32ºC
