Rain set to return this week as sunny Easter comes to a close in Andalucía: Weather forecast April 6-9
The warm and pleasant spell we had this week will give way to more unsettled weather in many parts as a cold front approaches from the Atlantic

Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday April 7
While it was a lovely, sunny Easter week in Andalucía, the week ahead looks to bring a sea change, especially to the western half of the region, where rain and strong winds are forecast.
Monday April 6
Andalucía weather warnings, Monday April 6There is a note of caution in parts of the region at the start of this week, particularly in Cádiz, where a yellow weather warning has been issued due to the possibility of very strong easterly gusts up to 70kmh all day up to 6pm.
Some far western places in Huelva, along the Portuguese border, may have rain, while much of Seville and Cádiz are also overcast, though everywhere east of there will have pleasant sunshine.
Tuesday April 7
Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday April 7Despite the onset of rain, temperatures are set to rise across the board, reinforcing the spring-like feel that has characterised this year’s Semana Santa week in southern Spain.
Highs are expected to reach around 30ºC in Seville, with Huelva and Jaén not far behind at 28ºC. Winds will generally be light to moderate from the east, although along the Mediterranean coast and in Cádiz province they may become moderate, with occasional strong gusts that could make their presence felt.
All the same, from Tuesday onwards, cloud cover is expected to increase, with rain forecast to arrive first in the western inland areas, then spreading eastward to cover most of the western half of the region, accompanied by thunderstorms in many areas by night-time.
Wednesday April 8
Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday April 8The shift is set to be more than a passing shower. A significant change in conditions is forecast as a trough approaches the Iberian Peninsula from the northwest, eventually giving rise to a cold front.
Wednesday is shaping up to be the rainiest day of the week, with current projections suggesting the cold front will be fully developed by then and a band of moderate to heavy rainfall sweeping across central areas of Andalucía, with Cádiz and Seville likely to be among the most affected. In these areas, rainfall totals of up to 50 litres per square metre within 24 hours cannot be ruled out, while Granada and Almería will get off fairly lightly with nary a shower.
Thursday April 9
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday April 9Looking ahead to Thursday and Friday, the wet conditions are expected to ease, with rain becoming more confined to northern areas of Spain, to be replaced in Andalucía with sunny skies and maximum temperatures during the day rising up into the high-20s in many areas, and even up to 30ºC in the rural Córdoba towns of Montoro and Andújar.
