Rain and wind threaten Holy Week processions: Murcia weather forecast April 15-17
After a very wet and stormy start to the week, the weather should begin clearing up across the Region of Murcia towards the weekend

Weather outlook on Tuesday April 15
The Easter celebrations have got off to a bit of a shaky start in Spain as the unsettled weather continues, and several processions up and down the country have already been cancelled or rescheduled thanks to the unrelenting rain.
The succession of storms drenching Spain won’t spare the Region of Murcia and the beginning of Holy Week is looking wet and windy, with a yellow alert for very strong gusts of wind active in the Northwest on Tuesday April 15. Lorca and Totana will lead with showers at midday, but this will become widespread and thundery from around 5pm.
Daytime temperatures on Tuesday will range from 15ºC in Yecla and Caracas to 21ºC and 22ºC in Cartagena and Murcia, respectively.

Weather outlook on Wednesday April 16
Things will start to improve a little on Wednesday April 16 with mostly clear, bright skies forecast, although the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) warns that there’s still a chance of showers pretty much everywhere in the Region.
Temperatures will remain unchanged for the most part and wind alerts are still active in the Northwest.

Weather outlook on Thursday April 17
The breeze should die down by Thursday April 17, Holy Thursday, and there is no rain forecast at the moment, so it’s hoped that the Easter processions will be able to go ahead. Overall, the day promises to be partly cloudy with some sunny spells and the temperatures should begin to climb a little, particularly inland.
