Rain and stormy intervals this weekend: Alicante weather forecast Sept 14-17
Double yellow warning for heavy rain and hail storms issued for parts of Alicante province
Weather outlook on Friday September 15
After a week that brought torrential rain, flooding and hail storms to parts of the province, Alicante is bracing for either the appearance of yet another DANA this weekend or a somewhat less threatening Isolated Cold Storm (BFA).
Although forecasters are still uncertain how the weather patterns will evolve, what is certain is that the entire Valencian Community can expect periods of intense rainfall on both Thursday and Friday night and records of up to 100 litres of rain will be registered over the next few days.
Thursday September 14
The northern coast of Alicante has been issued with a double yellow weather warning for storms and heavy rain at midday but the entire coast can expect isolated showers in the afternoon. The day will be marked by cloudy intervals although the weather should clear up towards the evening. The temperatures will remain unchanged.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 18ºC to 25ºC
Alicante: 22ºC to 29ºC
Denia: 20ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 21ºC to 30ºC
Orihuela: 21ºC to 30ºC
Friday September 15
The weather alerts for storms have been extended for Friday and will impact the southern coast as well as the north, in addition to inland Alicante. The skies will be very overcast throughout the province and suspended dust will result in muddy rain in parts. Daytime temperatures will drop slightly.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday
Alcoy: 18ºC to 24ºC
Alicante: 22ºC to 27ºC
Denia: 20ºC to 26ºC
Elche: 21ºC to 27ºC
Orihuela: 21ºC to 28ºC
Saturday September 16
The outlook will improve on Saturday with some low morning clouds and occasional showers and storms in northern Alicante, without ruling out scattered showers in the rest of the province. No weather alerts have been issued and the mercury should take a gentle upswing.

Alicante: 21ºC to 28ºC
Denia: 20ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 19ºC to 28ºC
