Planning a solo move abroad? Here's what you need to know
Get help to make the move to another country

Moving abroad on your own can be a bit of a daunting experience. With that being said, there are a few things you can do to try and make the transition easier on yourself.
Research the city
Research the city and make sure you understand what entertainment is available. What’s the nightlife like? What is there to do at the weekend? Where are you going to do your shopping? If you can take the time to research things like this, then you can make your transition a lot easier.
As you’ll be solo, you need to find ways to connect with the local area so you can create a life. It helps to ease into it as much as possible, though. Instead of visiting a local casino on the first day, you may want to try out blackjack live dealer games. These games give you the chance to play with a live dealer, and with real people across the world. You can also play different variations, such as Elite Blackjack and Infinite Blackjack. When you’ve settled in a little, you can then explore the local casinos and nightlife.
The same applies to dining too. Don’t be afraid to order takeout for the first few days, and then build yourself up to visiting a restaurant. Netflix can also be a good source of entertainment, so you don’t have to put too much pressure on yourself to go and explore every establishment on the first day.
Create some comfort rituals
It’s also important for you to have your comfort rituals. You probably won’t have any kind of social network in place when moving to a new city. For this reason, you should make a point of structuring your time. Go on long walks, keep yourself busy, and make sure that you always have something you can look forward to. Whether it is a movie night at home or whether it’s a nice relaxing bath, you need to make sure that you always have a sense of control and that you give yourself comfort when the other things in your life may be a little bit unpredictable.

Learn the language
Sign up for a local language class as soon as you can. Mastering a language will take you years of practice, but you may find that learning just a few basic phrases is the key to making a huge difference. Knowing what to say in a bakery or even what to say at the grocery store won’t take a lot of effort, and it is one of the best ways for you to feel more connected to the local community. Attending a language class is also the best way for you to meet new people who may be in the same boat as you, so try and keep that in mind, as it will make a monumental difference to your experience in the country as a whole. If you can, also ask local shop owners where to go for certain things, as they will be able to give you an idea of how to live like a local, which will help your language skills.
So as you can see, planning a solo move abroad can be daunting, but there are ways to make your life easier, and your transition less stressful.
