ARCHIVED - One dead and eight injured in work van crash on the AP-7 in Pilar de la Horadada
Six people were treated at the scene and two have been transferred to the Vega Baja de Orihuela hospital

One man has died and eight people were injured when a work van carrying nine men careered off the AP-7 and rolled over several times, landing on its roof with the occupants trapped inside.
The horror incident happened just before 7am on Wednesday April 5 at the Dehesa de Campoamor exit of the AP-7, kilometre 768, in Pilar de la Horadada.
Tragically, a 28-year-old died instantly. After being freed by Alicante firefighters, six occupants were treated for slight injuries at the scene and two males, aged 19 and 28, were taken to the Vega Baja de Orihuela hospital.

In a seperate incident, three people were hurt and seven vehicles damaged after a drink-and-drug driver crashed into a double-parked car in the centre of Torrevieja on Sunday morning, April 2.
