November 30 El Zoco Market shopping trip in support of Andrea's Animal Rescue, Mazarrón
Andrea's Animal Rescue & The Henrietta Foundation is the only donkey sanctuary in the Region of Murcia

Andrea’s Animal Rescue in Mazarrón is inviting supporters to join their next fundraising coach trip to the vibrant El Zoco Market on Sunday November 30, 2025. It’s the perfect way to kick-start the festive season, enjoy a day out with friends and help raise money for a truly worthy cause.
The market offers a great mix of stalls, from crafts and clothes to gifts and homeware, making it an ideal spot to get ahead on Christmas shopping.
Travellers can choose between two ticket options: €20 for the coach trip alone or €30 to include both the journey and a delicious Sunday lunch or fish and chips, whichever takes your fancy.
Tickets for this popular trip tend to sell out quickly, so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Pick-up and drop-off details will be confirmed closer to the date, and anyone interested in joining can contact Andrea on 690 906 565 or Mandy on 604 129 024 to reserve their place.
Funds raised from the trip will go directly towards supporting Andrea’s Animal Rescue & The Henrietta Foundation, the only donkey sanctuary in the Region of Murcia. The charity is currently caring for 117 donkeys, many of which have been rescued from neglect or abandonment. With no government funding, the organisation relies entirely on public donations and fundraising events like this one to continue its life-saving work.
About Andrea’s Animal Rescue & The Henrietta Foundation

Andrea’s Animal Rescue was founded in August 2008 to care for mistreated donkeys. The charity began after the rescue of Henrietta, a female donkey suffering from severe tumours, who became the organisation’s namesake. She was the second donkey rescued, following Lola, who had also been poorly treated by her previous owner.
Henrietta was found abandoned by the side of a motorway just two kilometres from the founder’s home. Her tumours were so advanced that she required treatment at a veterinary hospital in Murcia, with her operations costing around €2,500.
To raise funds, Andrea began selling unwanted items at local car boot sales, which later led to the opening of a charity shop. Sadly, despite the care she received, Henrietta passed away due to her illness and a blood disorder.
Her legacy lives on through The Henrietta Foundation, which continues to rescue, rehabilitate and care for donkeys across the Region.
