For emergencies there is the A&E department in San Javier (Los Arcos hospital is just 15 minutes’ drive down the RM-1 motorway, which you can join 1km out of the resort, before you reach Sucina: Tel 0034 968 570 050)
The main hospital in Cartagena, the Santa Lucía, also has a 24-hour Emergency department (Tel: 0034 968 128 600), as does the Virgen de la Arrixaca in Murcia (Tel: 0034 968 369 500).
