ARCHIVED - Murcia weekend weather September 1-4: A bright and sunny start to the new month
Temperatures are set to drop this weekend and going into next week, but it will still be pleasantly warm
Weather in Murcia, Saturday September 3
It was almost a blessing to have some gentle rainfall in Murcia this week after such a hot, dry summer, and the depleted reservoirs will surely be thankful for it.
We now begin the month of September and approach autumn, but there will not be any more rain in the Region for this weekend at least.
In fact, it should turn out to be a nice weekend, overcast at times and cloudier than we have been used to in recent weeks perhaps, but still sunny.
Temperatures will be slightly lower than earlier in the week, with minimums at nighttime dropping from around 20ºC to 14 or 13ºC by Sunday September 4.
Maximum temperatures at the height of the day, around 5pm, will also be slightly lower, but still a very warm 35ºC in central Murcia, and between 29 and 31ºC on the coast.
This stable weather looks forecast to continue at least into the beginning of next week. Nonetheless, towns across Murcia have been cleaning their waterways in preparation for potential heavy rains, in a bid to prevent the flooding caused by Gota Fría storms each rainy season.
