MUCAB Museo y Centro de Arte in Blanca

Location of the MUCAB in Blanca

The Museo y Centro de Arte in Blanca (MUCAB) is a new complex which provides the municipality with a multi-use facility with a new formula for management and development.

The MUCAB has been designed around four main work spaces. Firstly, there is an area for businesses, which will contribute to consolidating the development of existing companies and helping new initiatives which are just starting up. The human resources area will deal with career advice and orientation, employment and the selection of candidates from the population of the municipality.

There is also a training department, which will design and implement various courses for continuous training, and a social services area which will carry out other socio-economic interventions, catering especially for those who find it most difficult to find employment due to factors of age or gender.

The buildings original design includes offices and meeting rooms, two classrooms with seating for 20 people each, equipped with computers and internet, and other training equipment such as projectors and screens. There is also a conference room which seats 40, and reception area and other spaces to be used by all departments.

It will also house the Escuela de Música, the Centro de Juventud, a kindergarten and the town's museum. An underground car park will provide 210 parking spaces.

Access will be from the Calle Miguel de Cervantes, Calle Río Segura, Calle Doctor Marañón and the pedestrian Calle Piscina. In total the complex occupies 2,500 square metres and cost ten million euros to build.
