More rain and thunderstorms on the way: Alicante weekend weather forecast May 7-10
Cloudy skies, persistent rain, heavy showers and thunderstorms predicted for the Alicante Province over the next few days

According to Aemet, the unsettled weather looks set to continue over the weekend. Expect overcast skies, persistent rain and even thunderstorms, unfortunately. The temperatures will stay quite mild though, and it looks like the weather will pick up by Sunday. Let's take a look at the breakdown for each day.
Thursday May 7
There will be heavy, persistent rain and thunderstorms throughout much of the Province. The northern coast should experience the brunt of this weather in the morning and then the storms will spread everywhere else by lunchtime.
Temperatures will stay mild and winds will be light and variable for much of the day.
Friday May 8
Friday brings a bit of reprieve from the wet and stormy weather. There will be mostly clear skies, with some cloudy spells and a chance of scattered showers.
Winds will be light and variable early on, picking up a bit by lunchtime.
Saturday May 9
But Saturday sees the return of the rain. Widespread showers are expected, accompanied by thunderstorms across much of the Province.
Temperatures will be much the same, but the rain and thunderstorms will make it feel chilly. Winds again will be light and variable.
Sunday May 10
Sunday looks to be the best day of the weekend. It will be bright and sunny for most of the day with cloudy spells.
The return of the sun will see temperatures rise, with westerly winds inland and southerly winds along the coast.
All in all, not a great weekend weather-wise, but at least it looks to pick up by Sunday. So while we may have to hunker down to avoid the storms in the coming days, we can look forward to a Sunday lunch in the sun.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante:

Thursday May 7: Min 9ºC, Max 23ºC
Friday May 8: Min 8ºC, Max 22ºC
Saturday May 9: Min 11ºC, Max 23ºC
Sunday May 10: Min 11ºC, Max 27ºC
