ARCHIVED - Mazarron vehicle owner under investigation for licence plate falsification
Police are taking a stern line after the German car was discovered driving around with a sticker covering up its expiry date
A BMW with temporary German number plates has been identified and impounded in Mazarrón for driving around with the number plate partially obscured to hide the fact that the licence had expired.
According to Mazarrón police, “The vehicle was circulating with temporary German number plates which had been concealed due to their expiry date and consequent lack of authorisation to circulate, covering the said number plate data with a sticker.”
Police reported that the vehicle has since been impounded and “proceedings have been initiated” to investigate the vehicle’s owner for allegedly “falsifying documents”.
