ARCHIVED - Mazarron hosts two Univerisdad Internacional del Mar courses this July
The courses in Mazarrón concern mining and geological heritage as a tourism resource and the tourism potential of music
The municipality of Mazarrón is the venue for two of the courses offered this summer by the Universidad Internacional del Mar, a summer project held annually by the University of Murcia, it has been confirmed this week.
The first of these courses concerns the use of geological and mining heritage as a means of generating tourism, and runs from July 13 to July 14, stressing the need to protect and maximize elements of the recent and geological past in order to stimulate the tourism sector while at the same time favouring the preservation of the environment and sustainable development.
A couple of weeks later, from July 25 to July 27, Mazarrón hosts the “MazarrónSolMusic” course, in which the aim is to analyse from a theoretical and practical point of view the various aspects of the current music scene in Spain. Among those giving lectures will be specialists in musical composition, electronic music, musical journalism, staging techniques and musical production, providing a ground-breaking course which ranges from the history of musical expansion in the Region of Murcia to the nuts and bolts of how a musical show is staged.
Each of these two courses lasts 25 hours and participation costs 85 euros (65 euros for students).
