May 31 Pilar de la Horadada hosts free community health fair
More than 15 stands, health activities and live demonstrations will take over Avenida Camilo José Cela

Pilar de la Horadada will host a large community health fair on Sunday May 31, bringing together local organisations, healthcare professionals and council departments for a morning focused on wellbeing and healthy living.
The event, organised by the town hall’s Health Department, will take place on Avenida Camilo José Cela from 10am until 2pm and will be open to all residents and visitors.
The fair forms part of the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of Pilar de la Horadada becoming an independent municipality and aims to highlight many of the health services, programmes and support resources available locally.
More than 15 information and activity stands are expected to take part, covering topics including healthy eating, emotional wellbeing, physical activity, active ageing, addiction prevention and child development.
Visitors will also be able to access health checks, first aid information and advice on services designed to improve quality of life across the municipality.
Throughout the morning there will also be a programme of extra activities including short talks, storytelling sessions, sports demonstrations and a live cardiopulmonary resuscitation demonstration teaching basic CPR techniques.
The town’s “Walk With Us” health route, organised by the Sports Department, will also form part of the day’s activities and will finish at the fair itself.
Pilar de la Horadada’s Health Department thanked the various council departments, local associations, the local health centre and Ambumar for their collaboration in organising the event.
According to the council, the fair is designed to bring residents closer to the services and resources that help support health and wellbeing in the municipality every day.
Town hall officials said the initiative reflects the council’s ongoing commitment to prevention, community health and encouraging greater public participation in healthy lifestyle activities.
