ARCHIVED - May 13 to May 28 free Tres Culturas traditional music concerts in the city of Murcia
The Jewish, Christian and Islamic roots of Murcia culture at the 22nd Tres Culturas festival
After the hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic over the last two years the Murcia Tres Culturas festival returns to the regional capital for its 22nd edition between May 13 and May 28, featuring a series of free concerts and other events commemorating the multi-cultural roots of the city during the Middle Ages.
In general the Tres Culturas program features artists from many different countries representing Jewish, Islamic and Christian cultures all around the Mediterranean, although last year there were far more home-grown artists due to the limited amount of international travel. This year, however, sees a return to something approaching normality!
A total of 24 music and dance events are being held at various venues in and around the city of Murcia, along with audiovisual displays, exhibitions and even children’s theatre at the Muralla de Verónicas venue.
