ARCHIVED - Largest cruise liner in the world will dock in Cadiz
The Wonder of the Seas will make a technical stopover in Cadiz from February 8 to 10 before sailing to the United States

The Port of Cadiz is preparing for the arrival of the world's largest cruise ship, the Wonder of the Seas, which will dock on February 8, without passengers, for a two-day technical stopover before sailing to the United States.
The ship is the latest addition to the American company Royal Caribbean International's fleet, built in the French shipyards of Chantiers de l'Atlantique, in Saint-Nazaire.
Measuring a staggering 362 metres in length, 66 metres in breadth on an even keel of 9.3 metres draft, the ship is the largest cruise liner in the world and the biggest to have ever docked at Cadiz Port.
The ship has a capacity for 7,000 passengers and once technical checks have been carried out, will travel to America to begin its first season this winter.
To date, the largest cruise ship to anchor in Cadiz is the Oasis of the Seas, also belonging to Royal Caribbean International, with a length of 360 metres, which docked in 2019.
