June 16 Honey, oil and wine tasting trip to Guatazales with pickup from La Torre Golf Resort
Taste the true flavours of the Murcia countryside and meet the happy bees of Guatazales on a day trip with a difference
Organised by the La Torre Social Committee and run by a trusted local tour company, this brand new experience offers the chance to enjoy a full day in the hills near Bullas, learning about bees, tasting local honey, wine and olive oil, and relaxing in peaceful surroundings of the Guatazales eco-friendly retreat.
Set on a rural finca that specialises in organic, regenerative agriculture, guests will be introduced to the fascinating world of beekeeping, with protective clothing provided so everyone can get close to the hives and see the bees in action.
There's plenty of time to take photos and ask questions, followed by a chance to taste the honey and other homemade products, including wine, oils and local delicacies served with homemade bread and other small bites.
Afterward, guests can soak up the mountain air, take in the views and even enjoy a swim in the finca’s natural saltwater pool, so bringing a swimsuit is highly recommended.
A traditional paella will be served for lunch, freshly cooked and enjoyed outdoors, followed by time to browse and buy some of the finca’s own produce to take home.
The trip costs just €75 per person and includes tastings, lunch and return transport from La Torre Golf Resort, with pickup at King’s College. Places are limited and early booking is essential.
