ARCHIVED - June 11 Free guided walk, a 10-million-year journey in Sierra Espuña
A visit to see a geological wonder in the Regional Park of Sierra Espuña
This free guided walk on June 11 takes participants to the Estrecho de la Agualeja, a narrow gorge which has been carved into the rocks of Sierra Espuña near the town of Aledo by the erosive forces of water over the last 10 million years, making it a valuable part of the area’s geological and cultural heritage.
The 4.4-kilometre route is described as being of low difficulty and is appropriate for both adults and children aged over 12. The event is scheduled to last from 10.30 to 13.30 and free registration is online here from May 11.
