July 25 Zoot Suiters live in concert in Águilas
The well-known swing specialists at the Plaza Antonio Cortijos in Águilas
The 6th annual summer jazz festival of Águilas gets under way on Saturday 25th July with an appearance by the hugely popular band Zoot Suiters in the Plaza Antonio Cortijos, beginning at 22.00.
Every time the Murcia-based band play in public they leave unforgettable memories, not only because they are great musicians but also because they bring with them that charm, that special magic that sparks joy, makes people want to dance, and turns an ordinary night into one to remember.
Led by charismatic singer and frontman Coco Carmona, Zoot Suiters have only improved with time and are now one of the best swing bands in Spain. Their repertoire includes great swing classics and well-executed swing versions of pop songs.
Tickets are priced at 12 euros for the evening or 36 euros for all three nights of the festival and are available online here or in person from Restaurante Sol y Mar, Librería Las Lomas, Multicines El Hornillo, Cafetería Sam Sam and Lencería Évora. Season tickets can be obtained at a discount price of 30 euros only from Bebe Chic.

Águilas boasts 28 kilometres of coastline, with many fine, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and unspoilt natural beaches. It is a great summer favourite with Spanish holidaymakers, so always has a superb programme of concerts and activities throughout the summer, as well as the biggest carnival in the Region of Murcia, 40 days before Semana Santa (Easter.)
Throughout the year it also has a number of museums and historical attractions, a castle with fabulous views overlooking the bay and several other points of interest, all of which make it an good place to visit for days out. Throughout the year the tourist office runs monthly guided tours and the route of the railways, which explores the railway history of the town.
The tourist information office is located in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijos, just a short walk from the sea front and Plaza de España, a cool, shaded space in which to enjoy a coffee.
