Indian summer continues: Alicante weather forecast October 3-6
Temperatures of 34.2ºC were recorded in Alicante airport earlier in the week
Average temperatures expected in Alicante this Sunday
It seems that autumn isn’t too keen on arriving in Alicante province. While northern Spain was being battered by storms earlier this week, the Valencian Community enjoyed an ‘Indian summer’, with an incredible 34.2ºC recorded at the weather station in Alicante Airport on Wednesday.
That’s the second highest October temperature ever registered after 34.3ºC was reached back in 2015.
Now, the coming weekend won’t quite reach those lofty heights, but the weather still promises to be dry, warm and pleasant for the most part.
Thursday October 3
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Thursday, becoming more overcast in the afternoon. Temperatures will decrease, and moderate winds from the west and northwest will gradually ease to light winds inland and easterly and southeasterly winds on the coast.
Friday October 4
Friday's weather will be characterised by cloudy intervals, with night-time temperatures falling and maximum temperatures remaining relatively stable, hovering in and around the high-20s.
Light variable winds will prevail, with a predominance of easterly winds on the coast during the central hours.
Weekend Outlook
The weekend is expected to be warm and sunny, with partly cloudy skies and rising temperatures.
On Saturday October 5, mist and fog banks may develop in the southern half of the province, but these will likely clear quickly as the day progresses.
Light variable winds will pick up in the afternoon, with a predominance of easterly and southerly components on the coast.
Sunday October 6 is forecast to be a pleasant day, with partly cloudy or clear skies and rising temperatures. Light winds will blow from the west and south, making it an ideal day to enjoy outdoor activities or hit the beach.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend
- Thursday October 3: Min 14ºC; Max 32ºC
- Friday October 4: Min 14ºC; Max 29ºC
- Saturday October 5: Min 14ºC; Max 30ºC
- Sunday October 6: Min 17ºC; Max 34ºC
