IN PHOTOS: What Santa Lucía Hospital looks like now

The Santa Lucía Hospital in Cartagena, Murcia was the site of a large fire on Wednesday November 26

Much of Block 5 of the hospital was affected

113 patients across four floors had to be evacuated

Investigators into the fire are now worried about the presence of polyurethane cladding in the outer walls of the hospital that may have been a fire risk

Cartagena Mayor, Noelia Arroyo, and President of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, give statements to the press

President López Miras (centre) praised the “rapid intervention” of hospital staff

Incredibly, no one was harmed in the fire

Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames in just 20 minutes
