Hot days and tropical nights: Alicante weather forecast June 22-25
The temperatures will reach the high 30s in parts of Alicante province this weekend

This coming weekend marks the celebration of Noche de San Juan, a pagan festival thousands of years old that will see Alicante’s beaches packed with revellers. And the weather forecast couldn’t be better for this famous bonfire party, with balmy evening temperatures and not a drop of rain in sight.
Likewise, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) expects only very light breezes and no strong gusts to disturb the festivities.
Throughout the weekend the temperatures will hover around the high 20s to mid 30s in Alicante but the downside is that most of the province is in for at least a few tropical nights, where the mercury fails to dip below 22 or 23ºC, particularly along the coast.
Thursday June 22 will begin a little overcast but this will have cleared by mid-morning to give way to bright and sunny skies. The showers that were forecast by Aemet earlier in the week so no signs of materialising but variable sea breezes will freshen things up slightly. Daytime temperatures are on the rise across the board, topping out at a sweltering 35ºC in Orihuela.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 19ºC to 31ºC
Alicante: 22ºC to 32ºC
Denia: 21ºC to 31ºC
Elche: 21ºC to 34ºC
Orihuela: 22ºC to 35ºC
A mostly clear start to Friday June 23 but the cloud cover will increase inland towards the afternoon. The temperatures will remain largely unchanged, although the highs could dip ever so slightly, and the breeze will come from the east and northeast.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday
Alcoy: 18ºC to 30ºC
Alicante: 22ºC to 29ºC
Denia: 21ºC to 30ºC
Elche: 21ºC to 30ºC
Orihuela: 21ºC to 31ºC
Those overcast skies will dissipate almost entirely on Saturday June 24, giving way to another bright and sunny day. The night will again be muggy and uncomfortable as daytime temperatures soar upwards into the 30s. A variable light wind will carry sea breezes during the central hours of the day.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Saturday
Alcoy: 19ºC to 32ºC
Alicante: 22ºC to 29ºC
Denia: 21ºC to 30ºC
Elche: 20ºC to 31ºC
Orihuela: 20ºC to 32ºC
Looking ahead to Sunday June 25 and another mostly clear day is forecast, although the northern part of the province will become progressively more overcast from midday, when occasional showers could also hit. The temperatures will take a notable upward swing in most areas.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Sunday
Alcoy: 20ºC to 36ºC
Alicante: 22ºC to 31ºC
Denia: 21ºC to 32ºC
Elche: 20ºC to 34ºC
Orihuela: 20ºC to 36ºC
