Murcia weather forecast, Wednesday May 29

It is going to be a very hot week in the Region of Murcia, with the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicting temperatures of up to 36ºC on Thursday. Barely any rain is forecast and it will not be too windy – all in all a very settled and sunny week.

Monday morning, May 27, dawns cloudy and a bit foggy on the coast around Cartagena and the Mar Menor, some of this being caused by a cloud of calima Saharan dust. The clouds will shift away during the course of the morning and it will be a nice sunny day, though Aemet hasn’t ruled out the possibility of rainstorms at some point on Monday in the north of the Region.

On Tuesday 28, too, the cloudy skies bring “a slight chance of occasional showers in the afternoon” in the north and there will be “light to moderate easterly winds”, but nothing to write home about.

For Wednesday 29, Aemet says the clouds will shift away and it will be very bright, with temperatures increasing over the course of the next couple of days to reach highs of 36ºC in Cieza, 35ºC in other parts of the centre of the region and around 30ºC on the coast on Thursday 30.

From Friday 31, those very high temperatures will ease off a bit, and it won’t even break the 30-degree mark, but it will still be sunny and warm with only gentle winds blowing for the weekend.
