Heat warnings, inland storms and dusty skies: Andalucía weekly weather forecast June 16-19
Hot inland temperatures, afternoon storms and strong winds near the Strait of Gibraltar make for a lively start to the week
This week in Andalucía brings a stretch of hot, sometimes stormy weather inland, with calmer conditions along the coast, though not without some windier periods. A few of Andalucía’s provinces are under weather alerts for high temperatures and strong gusts, especially early in the week. Dusty skies and rising temperatures will be a feature throughout, particularly in western parts of the region.

Winds will be light to moderate inland, with stronger Levante gusts near Almería and the Strait.

Storms are again possible in the northeastern sierras, especially around Granada. Jaén is on alert for maximum temperatures near 41°C, while Cádiz faces a wind warning for strong easterlies in the Strait and offshore, with gusts around Tarifa reaching 60 km/h. Dust remains in the air, and muddy deposits are still possible. Temperatures will continue to rise elsewhere.
Wednesday June 18

A calmer day overall with mainly clear skies and some high cloud later on. Isolated showers could pop up inland, especially near Córdoba. Suspended dust will be thicker in the west, including Seville. Temperatures dip slightly in western provinces, while remaining steady elsewhere. Winds stay light inland, with a moderate Levante continuing through the Strait.
Thursday June 19

A hot few days ahead across Andalucía, with alerts in place for heat and wind. Expect rising temperatures, dusty skies and the chance of storms inland, especially early in the week.
