Get ready for windy spells this weekend: Murcia weather forecast Nov 30-Dec 3
This Thursday and Friday will be particularly blowy in southeast Spain
Wind speeds in Murcia, afternoon of Friday December 1
For this weekend in the Region of Murcia, the State Meteorological Agency in Spain (Aemet) forecasts that the weather will be mainly dry and sunny, but with frequent cloud cover, foggy mornings and some showers possible in the northwest of the province, and – crucially – strong winds on Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday November 30, there will be “intervals of cloudy skies, with isolated light rainfall in the north-western sierras not ruled out”. At the same time, temperatures will rise slightly and there will be “light south-westerly winds becoming moderate during the afternoon”, up to 30kmh.
Friday December 1 will be even cloudier and windier, with windspeeds in excess of 30 and 40kmh, and possibly up to 60kmh, especially in Cartagena and near to the border with Almería. In fact, the area around Cartagena, La Manga and the Mar Menor is on yellow alert on Friday between midnight and 4pm for force 7 winds that could bring waves of 2-3 metres high.

Meanwhile, Caravaca de la Cruz and the surrounding area of the northwest of the Region could see some rain at around midday, and there will even be some “weak frosts”.
Saturday December 2, however, promises to bring mainly clear skies and more gentle breezes, even as temperatures are falling and there are more “light frosts in the northwest”.
Finally, on Sunday December 3, there will be more “cloudy intervals” but mostly sunny with “light variable winds”. Minimum temperatures will decrease in the northern half of the Region and there will be little change in the rest.
Going into next week, we can expect more cloudy conditions but no significant rainfall is forecast as yet.
