Frosty and fresh: Alicante Christmas weather forecast Dec 21-26
Daytime temperatures will hit 20ºC in parts of Alicante province on Christmas Day

Weather outlook on Christmas Day
Although the temperatures are set to take on a more wintery feel in the coming days, the skies will remain cloudless throughout Alicante province so the lead-up to Christmas, and the festive period itself, will be sunny and pleasantly warm during the central hours.
The mercury will take a noticeable dip inland as Christmas approaches, resulting in weak frosts in places and even sub-zero night-time temperatures, but the holidays will remain dry for the most part.
Thursday December 21

Thursday will be mostly bright and sunny with few changes to the temperatures, which will remain in the high teens during the day. Weak frosts are expected inland and a light westerly wind will be far more blustery along the coast in the afternoon.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 1ºC to 16ºC
Alicante: 6ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 6ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 6ºC to 19ºC
Orihuela: 5ºC to 18ºC
Friday December 22

Friday night will be a little warmer than previous days in most parts of Alicante but daytime temperatures will remain the same. It will be slightly cloudy, however, and frosty once again in the early morning.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday
Alcoy: 5ºC to 18ºC
Alicante: 8ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 7ºC to 19ºC

Saturday December 23

The day will be a bit overcast in the southern half of the province and mostly clear elsewhere. Both day and night-time temperatures will drop by a couple of degrees compared to Friday.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Saturday
Alcoy: 8ºC to 18ºC
Alicante: 9ºC to 17ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 5ºC to 18ºC
Orihuela: 5ºC to 18ºC
Sunday December 24

The forecast for Christmas Eve is very similar, with weak frosts and a light fog bank expected in the south of the province. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged although a moderate breeze from the southwest will create a chill along the coast in the afternoon.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Sunday
Alcoy: 5ºC to 18ºC
Alicante: 8ºC to 17ºC
Denia: 7ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 5ºC to 18ºC

Monday December 25

The temperatures will shoot up on Christmas Day, hitting 20ºC in places on a day when the skies should remain mostly cloudless.

Alcoy: 6ºC to 20ºC
Alicante: 8ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 6ºC to 20ºC
Orihuela: 4ºC to 20ºC
Tuesday December 26

An approaching Atlantic front could result in a more overcast day on Tuesday. Rain is forecast in northern Spain but in the unlikely event this extends to the Mediterranean coast, the showers will be very weak and scattered at best.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Tuesday
Alcoy: 5ºC to 19ºC
Alicante: 6ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 7ºC to 18ºC
