From Feb 18 Beethoven Fest 2024 in Altea
The free classical music performances will be held over three Sundays in the Casa Cultura Altea, Alicante
Brighten up those gloomy winter mornings with a spellbinding classical music performance during the fourth edition of Beethoven Fest in Altea. All of the concerts will begin at 12 noon at the Casa Cultura and are absolutely free to attend.
The first performance will be held on Sunday February 18, followed by another on February 28, culminating in a final concert on March 3.
“These small-format concerts have become a point of reference for classical music in the city on winter Sunday mornings, both for Altea's residents and tourists, which last year's success is proof of,” Councillor for Culture Pepa Victoria Pérez highlighted.
She invites locals and visitors alike to “enjoy the music in a central place and at a time that allows them to enjoy a cultural activity that can be followed by the traditional custom of having an aperitif before lunch, or even enjoy a day of free time in Altea and taste the wide range of gastronomic offers in the municipality”.
The concerts
The musical journey begins on Sunday February 18 with Trio Lògic, a group of highly acclaimed musicians who have performed all over the world. Their concert, “Històries i contes de Beethoven” (“Beethoven’s Stories and Tales”), promises to showcase various works influenced by Beethoven, including his iconic sonata.
On February 25, the second concert features Pamela Pérez and Pedro Mercado, two seasoned pianists. As Van Duá Duo, they will present a diverse programme, blending pieces from varied genres and periods, promising an exciting and eclectic musical experience.
On March 3, Beethoven Fest 2024 comes to a close with a captivating trio performance featuring Anna Alvarado on flute, Tara García on cello, and Carla Gómez on piano.
The ensemble, known as Beethoven & Co., brings together three of the most prominent composers in music history, each with their unique expression of Romanticism.
