ARCHIVED - Free entry classical music in Los Alcazares on July 15, 22 and 29
A series of concerts are to be held in Los Alcázares at the Balneario and the Town Hall.
The XXI edition of Music at the Balneario, a series of classical music concerts in Los Alcázares, is set to return on July 15, 22 and 29 to two different stages, as coronavirus restrictions have forced plans to be adjusted.
This year, the hotel spa of the Balneario (La Encarnación), which is the oldest hotel in Los Alcázares, will accommodate one performance in the shaded central courtyard instead of inside, due to coronavirus restrictions. The Town Hall will also stage two events in the Salón de Plenos inside the town hall, which has a good-sized auditorium.
Darling Dyle, violinist and concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, said he was "very happy that the Los Alcázares Town Hall is backing classical music especially in such a spectacular setting as the Balneario.”
Events:
Thursday July 15: Essential melodies from violin soloist Darling Dyle and pianist Vicente Prieto in the Salón de plenos.
Thursday July 22: The Sine Tempore Ensemble performs a selection of pieces by Bach in the Salón de Plenos.
Thursday July 29: "Bel Canto". Trio featuring the spectacular voice of Carmen Muñoz, together with violin and cello accompaniment.
Each event begins at 8 pm and to attend the concerts, a free "invitation" is required, which can be obtained by either emailing (cultura@losalcazares.es) or via WhatsApp at 669 40 47 81. This system is purely to ensure that the venue is not over-filled, the invitation not really an invitation, but simply a ticket for which anyone can ask and is free.
Seating is limited due to coronavirus safety measures.
