Four Mazarrón beaches have year-round solid beach walkways
Playa Rihuete, Playa del Puerto, Playa Isla and Playa Castellar offer improved shoreline access
Four beaches in the Mazarrón municipality have solid walkways throughout the year designed to help those with limited mobility to access the shoreline.
The walkways are available on the beaches of Playa Rihuete, Playa del Puerto, Playa Isla and Playa Castellar and are made from a pre-fabricated concrete which imitates wood.
The walkways were installed during the autumn of 2015 and offer 655 metres of solid access walkways which make it considerably easier for bathers to walk across the sand, particularly for those using walkers, pushing prams or wheelchairs and are considerably easier underfoot than soft sand.
