Fire blazes through shoe factory in Caravaca de la Cruz
Firefighters continue to work at the scene to ensure the flames don’t reignite
Firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium (CEIS) moved quickly to bring a fire under control early Thursday morning, October 9, which broke out inside a shoe factory in Caravaca de la Cruz.
The 112 emergency service began receiving calls from concerned locals reporting the fire starting at 12:56am. A local police patrol was first dispatched to the scene, which confirmed the fire and the need for extinguishing equipment. CEIS firefighters were then mobilised.
Thankfully, the blaze had been extinguished before 9am and 112 sources reported that there is no risk of it spreading. CEIS firefighters continue to work at the scene.
