Finally, Murcia's weather takes a turn for the better: Weekly forecast February 16-19
The wind is forecast to ease off, at long last, bringing sunny skies and a rise in temperatures

Murcia weather forecast, Wednesday February 18
After pretty much a full month of weather warnings from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) for strong winds in the Region of Murcia, the stormfronts look like they’re finally ready to back off now, leaving us with a bright and sunny week ahead, (almost) free of wind alerts.
Monday February 16
Murcia windspeeds, Monday February 16The exception to this is Monday, which still sees the centre, east and far northeast of the Region under yellow alert for strong winds with the occasional gust up to 70kmh, at least up until 8am.
After that point, it will still be windy, especially in the east of the province and along the coastline, but the warnings have been deactivated, leaving a fine, bright day with some high cloud cover and temperatures beginning to rise.
Tuesday February 17
Murcia weather forecast, Tuesday February 17On Tuesday, the neighbouring province of Alicante is on weather warning still for strong winds, but Murcia is not and the sunshine continues, with temperatures forecast to creep up a degree or two to highs of 21-26ºC!
Wednesday February 18
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Murcia, Wednesday February 18Wednesday is ever so slightly warmer still, with central areas comfortably reaching 26ºC by the early afternoon, and the coastline south of there and the mountains to the north enjoying maximum temperatures of 21-24ºC. Minimums at night will be around 4-7ºC in the north and 8-11ºC in the south.
In addition, there will still be some windy episodes, especially in the far southwest of the Region around Lorca and Águilas, but only up to around 30kmh – nothing in comparison with the gusts we’ve seen over the last few weeks!
Thursday February 19
Murcia weather forecast, Thursday February 19It’s a similar story on Thursday, with Aemet forecasting “partly cloudy skies, except for intervals of low clouds in the northwest in the morning” with “minimum temperatures rising and maximum temperatures unchanged on the coast and falling inland,” making it noticeably chillier at aroun 20-21ºC.
They also note that there will be “moderate westerly winds with strong intervals and very strong gusts in high areas,” though at the time of publication they have not issued any further weather warnings.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Murcia this week
- Monday February 16: Min 7ºC; Max 24ºC
- Tuesday February 17: Min 7ºC; Max 26ºC
- Wednesday February 18: Min 4ºC; Max 26ºC
- Thursday February 19: Min 4ºC; Max 21ºC
