The magnitude 2.2 quake occurred in the early hours of this morning
The town of San Miguel de Salinas in Alicante’s Vega Baja area was the scene of a earthquake early this morning, Tuesday December 20.According to the National Geographic Institute, the earthquake registered 2.2 on the Richter scale and had its epicentre to the west of San Miguel de Salinas.
The quake took place at 1.18am and, according to Proyecto Mastral, "has been felt slightly in the area and surroundings and there is no evidence of any personal or material damage. These earthquakes are normal in this area of high seismic activity."
