The terrain and location hampered the rescue, as six firefighters and medics lifted the wounded woman to the cliff edge on a stretcher and then carried her around 800 metres on a rocky road to a waiting Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance.
It's not clear how badly she was hurt but she was taken to a nearby hospital.
A number of teams from various emergency services were involved, including police officers from Orihuela and fire support from Torrevieja, with the support of the Headquarters Command Unit (UMJ), a Heavy Urban Pump (BUP) and a Various Rescue Van (FSV).
