December 5-8 Guardamar Gastronavidad returns with more food trucks and festive fun
The Guardamar del Segura Christmas food festival has expanded this year to ten trucks with free carousel rides in Reina Sofía Park

Guardamar del Segura is gearing up for the return of Gastronavidad, the popular Christmas gastronomic festival that proved hugely popular during its debut last year.
Running from December 5-8 in Reina Sofía Park, the second edition promises to be bigger and better, with organisers expanding both the culinary offerings and entertainment programme following the resounding success of the 2024 event.
The festival, organised jointly by Guardamar Council and the local Restaurant Association, proved such a hit last year that it filled the venue throughout the entire December long weekend. Building on that momentum, this year's edition has grown considerably, transforming the park into an even more vibrant celebration of food, music and seasonal cheer.
Gisela Teva, Councillor for Economic Development, explained that Gastronavidad 2025 incorporates significant new features.
"We have gone from seven to ten food trucks and expanded the leisure program with more music, dance performances, storytelling, magic and concerts," she said.
The expanded line-up of food trucks means an even wider variety of dishes to suit all tastes, with local restaurants showcasing the best of Alicante's cuisine.
One of the most eye-catching additions this year is a traditional Christmas carousel, which will brings an extra touch of festive magic to the event. The attraction will be free for anyone who spends more than €10 at any of the food and beverage outlets within the venue.
"We hope this collaboration will continue, with the aim of further promoting our gastronomy and making Guardamar a leading destination for Christmas leisure in the Vega Baja region," Mayor José Luis Sáez said.
The mayor encouraged residents of Guardamar, the surrounding area and visitors to enjoy this second edition of Gastronavidad, “an event that combines flavour, tradition and entertainment in a unique setting.”
