December 20 Santa Claus Parade in Orihuela Costa
Christmas music, colourful floats, amazing costumes and the big man himself in La Zenia

Orihuela Costa is gearing up for the annual Santa Claus Parade. Zenia Boulevard, already dazzling with tens of thousands of sparkling Christmas lights, will once again provide the perfect backdrop for one of the area’s most anticipated holiday events.
Over the years the parade has become a highlight of the local Christmas calendar, drawing visitors from across Alicante province to enjoy a mix of music, colour and holiday cheer. The shopping centre itself has gained a reputation for its spectacular festive displays, with a huge calendar of events that build up to the big parade.
On the evening of Saturday December 20, the streets will come alive as hundreds of dancers and performers parade from Playa Flamenca to Zenia Boulevard. Locals of all ages take part, wearing bright and elaborate costumes and performing choreographed routines that bring the festive spirit to every corner of the route.
The event culminates with a special appearance from Santa Claus himself. Taking a break from his North Pole duties, he will ride his sleigh through the shopping centre, waving to the crowds and spreading festive cheer to children and adults alike. It’s a truly magical moment that marks the highlight of Zenia Boulevard’s Christmas celebrations.
The parade sets off from Calle Nicolás de Bussi at 5pm and is expected to reach Zenia Boulevard around 50 minutes later, depending on traffic and conditions on the day.
For more details on this year’s festivities and to check Zenia Boulevard’s opening hours over Christmas and New Year, visitors can consult the official Zenia Boulevard website.
