Darker details revealed about death of American woman in Costa del Sol extreme sex mystery
The deceased Art teacher reportedly fled Texas for Spain to escape her estranged partner, who has now been arrested
An American mother of three who passed away in a Costa del Sol sex game mystery last weekend was attempting to flee her common-law husband in Texas, a close acquaintance has revealed.
Early reports suggested that Bianca Pitman, 43, died from drug-fuelled rough sex, but investigators are now treating the case as gender violence and possible homicide. Her partner, construction executive Jose Betancourt, called the Málaga emergency services in the early hours of Saturday morning, April 6, when Ms Pitman became unresponsive, and he was immediately arrested.
He is currently being held in Alhaurin de la Torre Prison without bail, while investigators try to establish if he played any sinister part in her death.
Ms Pitman, an art teacher, left Texas in November 2023, hoping to sever ties with Mr Betancourt, but a friend has confirmed that her estranged partner somehow tracked her to Spain.
The couple stayed in Málaga for several days before Ms Pitman’s lifeless body was discovered in a luxury Airbnb-style apartment, following Mr Betancourt’s panicked emergency call.
The pair stayed at The Clock House in Malaga’s historic centre, which reportedly charges guests up to 430 US dollars per night.
Legal proceedings continue as detectives examine evidence and testimony to shed light on the true nature behind the young mother’s untimely demise.
