Cold snap hits Alicante: Weekend weather forecast Feb 27-March 2
The coming weekend will be overcast and wet throughout Alicante province

Average temperatures expected on Saturday March 1
An Atlantic front is due to move across Spain this coming weekend and it will hit Alicante province with widespread rain and cause the temperatures to drop drastically.
Thursday February 27

Thursday will be rather cloudy but some clearings should open up later in the afternoon. A westerly wind will feel breezy along the coast but daytime temperatures will remain mild for the moment.
Friday February 28

Friday will dawn nice and bright but the cloud cover will gather as the hours go by, leading to overcast skies from the afternoon onwards. Light rainfall is forecast and showers are likely throughout the province.
Temperatures will dip slightly, and a stiff breeze will make it feel much cooler along the coast.
Saturday March 1

Heavy rain and stormy intervals will hit all of Alicante on Saturday and the temperatures will plummet, with the mercury failing to rise above 15ºC at the height of the day.
The blustery wind will continue along the coast.
Sunday March 2

Sunday will again be cloudy bordering on overcast, although the evening should be a little brighter. The rain should be confined to the north of Alicante and the snow level will drop to just 800-1,000 metres inland.
Daytime temperatures will continue to fall in the south and rise slightly in the north of the province.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend
- Thursday February 27: Min 6ºC; Max 19ºC
- Friday February 28: Min 5ºC; Max 18ºC
- Saturday March 1: Min 7ºC; Max 15ºC
