Cold and crisp Christmas: Andalucía weather forecast December 23-26
Strong gusts of wind will place Cadiz on alert but most of Andalucía can look forward to a dry and bright few days
Average temperatures expected in Andalucía on Christmas Day
As the holiday season unfolds, Andalucía is set to experience a typically wintry Christmas with chilly mornings, frosty spells and crisp, sunny days. From December 23 to 26, the region will enjoy mostly clear skies, though strong winds and fluctuating temperatures will bring a touch of drama to the festive atmosphere.
Whether you're planning cosy indoor celebrations or brisk outdoor strolls, here's what to expect from the Christmas weather forecast.
Monday December 23
Mostly clear or partly cloudy skies are forecast on Monday and while the day will be dry, a light frost is expected in inland areas. This will go hand in hand with falling temperatures, although there won’t be too many changes along the coast.
The westerly winds could feel especially blustery in Mediterranean areas early in the morning.
Tuesday December 24
A strong easterly wind will hit the Strait on Christmas Eve with occasional gusts, so the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow weather alert for dangerous sea conditions in Cadiz until 10pm.
Elsewhere, Tuesday will be mostly bright and sunny. Daytime temperatures will dip in the Mediterranean but remain unchanged everywhere else.
Wednesday December 25
Partly cloudy or clear skies again on Christmas Day as the temperatures begin to rise. Winds from the east will be light inland and moderate on the coast. A strong easterly wind will again blow in the Strait, with the possibility of occasionally very strong gusts placing Cadiz on yellow alert.
Thursday December 26
It could be a little overcast at times along the Mediterranean on Thursday, where there’s a chance of occasional light rain. Temperatures will remain unchanged but some light front is forecast inland. The blustery winds will continue in Cadiz but, for the time being at least, no weather alerts have been activated.

- Tuesday December 24: Min -4ºC; Max 19ºC
