Chance to buy a Camposol property for a possible 100 euros slips through the net
Camposol property entered in State online auction but vague address details may have made it difficult to find for potential buyers
A villa on Camposol’s Sector A was entered into the State online auction by the Murcia Judicial Authority on February 22, with a bidding deadline of 6.00 pm on Wednesday March 13, but at which time no bids had been received and the process was concluded with no buyer. This could have been a chance for someone to snap up a bargain, although the property definitely fell into the “project” or “doer-upper” category.
However, the first obstacle for potential speculators was actually finding the place: in the auction listing the address is given as Calle Andalucia, poligono Ru19, whereas the property was actually on Calle Córdoba. A similar situation arose in 2022 but in that case the villa was located and received a highest bid of over €88,000.
The property in question this time was a MASA Rosa model which had been extended and had other extensive additions including a large Roman type swimming pool. It had a valuation of €239,978.79 and an outstanding debt of €98,563.74 which would be cancelled by the auction process, although bidders are warned to check for other debts. There was no minimum bid or reserve.
Local residents report that the owner, said to have also had a business on the urbanisation, departed around ten years ago and since then the villa has been left to fall into a sorry state of disrepair.
Properties on the Camposol development appear in the State auction from time to time, and a Cibeles model on Sector B sold in February of this year for €112.140,48. Other large lots have also reached the auction including the sell off of the constructor’s assets in in 2017 when over 100 properties were cleared by the bankruptcy administrator, some for under 6,000 euros. The mysterious Camposol Sector F valuded at over 9 million euros received a highest bid of €100. Also the Sensol Hotel was sold in 2018 to the highest bid of 3.8 million euros and locally a villa on Mazarron Country Club recently sold for just over €101,000.
Bidding in the state auction is only accessible by those registered with the auction authority who are then able to bid and have access to the ongoing procedure. Other stipulations which include the payment of deposits.
