ARCHIVED - Cartagena police arrest drunk driver, 64, who hit cyclist in La Manga
The 64-year-old was over the limit when he drove into a cyclist on the La Manga strip

The Cartagena Local Police have arrested a 64-year-old driver who hit a cyclist with his car on Gran Vía de La Manga.
Officers reported that the incident took place at around 6.30pm on Monday August 1 when the driver was about to change direction at kilometre 1 of the strip.
One of the two cyclists who were riding along the road at the time managed to avoid the vehicle, but the other was hit.
Thankfully, the cyclist who was hit did not suffer any fractures, but he was bruised all over his body.
The driver has been prosecuted for an alleged offence against road safety, having exceeded the maximum blood alcohol level in the test that the officers carried out on him at the time of his arrest.
