Cadiz City Sightseeing tourist hop-on hop-off bus tours in Spain
Take a city bus tour of Cadiz to see and visit the top tourist attractions
The city of Cadiz in southwestern Spain is one of the top tourist destinations to visit on the southern Spanish coast of Andalucía. Many international cruise ships stop there, and it’s also popular thanks to its long, sandy city beaches located where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea and its historical monuments such as the cathedral and the Torre Tavira tower with its Camera Obscura that offers a great view of the entire city.
One of the best ways to get to know Cádiz (pronounced with the emphasis on the first syllable) is on the City Sightseeing bus, which takes passengers around the top 14 sights to visit while in Cadiz in a 1-hour circular route, including the beaches.
City Sightseeing buses are Hop-on, Hop-off, and you can buy a ticket that lets you get on and off as many times as you like over the course of 2 days, so you can easily move around Cadiz during your stay in the city and take in all the best tourist spots it has to offer.
The bus runs from 10am to 5.30pm every day. Fun facts about the things you will see are explained in the multilingual audio guides available in 16 languages, so children and adults alike can learn and be entertained during the tour.
The bus route has 14 stops, and takes you around the following places:
- Avenida del Puerto
- Plaza de la Hispanidad
- Puertas de Tierra
- Cadiz Cathedral
- Playa de la Caleta beach
- Hotel Parador/ Parque Genovés
- Iglesia del Carmen church
- Plaza de España square
- Hotel Parador/ Parque Genovés II
- Cathedral second stop
- Playa de Santa María beach
- Playa de la Victoria beach
- Plaza de Sevilla square
- Bay of Cadiz
Standard tickets cost 23 euros for adults and 11.50 euros for children aged 7-16 years old. For the ‘Essential’ ticket, which comes with entry to the Cathedral and Tower, the price is 24.99 euros for adults and 14.99 for children aged 12-16.
The ticket price includes a free coupon booklet with deals and discounts for Cadiz city attractions, museums and restaurants, as well as a free walking tour around Cádiz city centre. The walking tour starts at City Expert Kiosk in Plaza San Juan de Dios at 12.30pm each day, and takes around one hour to complete.
You can book your ticket online today at the City-Sightseeing website, and there is free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
