A 64-year-old British man’s body was found and completely naked in an open field on a farm in Cala Llombards, Santanyí, Mallorca, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Guardia Civil. Construction workers made the grim discovery late on Monday while working nearby and instantly alerted emergency services.

 

Emergency responders, including units from SAMU-061, the Guardia Civil, and Santanyí Local Police, rushed to the scene, where officers confirmed the man’s death and secured the area pending a thorough judicial investigation. A duty judge and forensic doctor arrived shortly after to begin examining the circumstances surrounding the death.

 

Sources close to the investigation confirmed the victim had lived in Mallorca for several years. So far, no signs of assault or foul play have been found, but the Guardia Civil's Judicial Police are keeping all possibilities open. The bizarre nature of the case, with the man found naked in a secluded area, has sparked theories ranging from accidental collapse to risky behaviour gone wrong.

 

The body has since been taken to Palma’s Institute of Legal Medicine where an autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, shocked residents in normally quiet Santanyí recall seeing the man wandering alone in the days before his death, yet remain puzzled about the unusual scene.

 

The Guardia Civil continues to gather testimonies and review nearby security footage as they piece together the last hours of the man’s life in a case marked by mystery and sadness on the sun-soaked island.
