Bright days with occasional showers: Alicante weekend weather forecast May 23-26
Northern Alicante can expect some light rain over the weekend but the temperatures will begin to climb across the board
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Saturday May 25
We’re coming towards the end of the unpredictable month of May but the weather still has a few surprises in store for us. The worst of the stormy weather has passed and most of Spain can expect a very warm and sunny few days ahead.
In Alicante, occasional showers are still a distinct possibility in northern parts of the province but on the whole, the weekend promises to be very warm and pleasant.
Thursday May 23
Expect a slightly overcast day, with a mix of medium and high cloud cover. Daytime temperatures won’t change too much but it will be a degree or two cooler in most parts compared to earlier in the week.
Light variable winds from the east will pick up strength in coastal areas during the day.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 13ºC to 24ºC
Alicante: 17ºC to 25ºC
Denia: 16ºC to 24ºC
Elche: 13ºC to 26ºC
Orihuela: 14ºC to 27ºC
Friday May 24
More cloudy intervals are forecast for Friday, and the cloud cover could even reduce visibility in high areas of Alicante province. There will be few temperature fluctuations and the coast can once more expect some easterly sea breezes.

Alcoy: 13ºC to 25ºC
Alicante: 16ºC to 25ºC
Denia: 16ºC to 23ºC
Elche: 14ºC to 26ºC
Orihuela: 13ºC to 26ºC
Saturday May 25
Temperatures will start to climb on Saturday, especially inland, but the heat will be noticeable everywhere. The day will be mostly clear and bright with some high clouds, although the north of the province could be in for a light shower or two.
Variable light wind, predominating from the south and southeast in the afternoon, with moderate intervals on the coast.

Alcoy: 13ºC to 28ºC
Alicante: 16ºC to 24ºC
Denia: 16ºC to 25ºC
Elche: 14ºC to 26ºC
Orihuela: 15ºC to 28ºC
Sunday May 26
Inland towns in northern Alicante can again expect some scattered rain in the afternoon, but the rest of the province will be mainly sunny. Daytime temperatures will shoot up again in many municipalities.

Alcoy: 16ºC to 31ºC
Alicante: 18ºC to 26ºC
Denia: 16ºC to 26ºC
Elche: 16ºC to 29ºC
Orihuela: 16ºC to 31ºC
